I created this video in our first after effect induction, I done this by adding a background and then searching for PNG pictures of dinosaurs so then i can animate their movement using after affects. Using the position key frame i was able to make the dinosaur on the bottom walk/hop across to the other side of the screen, and using the position key frame again but this time i had changed the scale on the pterodactyl and just to finish off this short animation off i then added the Jurassic park theme tune . I will be using After Effects again in the future for other animations such as Studio Brief 1- the other side as you can animate with all the requirements that the brief asks you to do

Study Task 1- Who am i? Why am i here? What do i want to learn?
Why did you chose to study on this programme?
-I chose to study on the animation programme because, i love to draw and create characters, finding my own style of drawing and characters, I am open to trying stop motion, 3D ect.. and am intrigued to see what path i would like to pursue, finally we see animation on a day to day basis and would love to be apart of it.
What do you want to learn during your time on the programme?
- during my time on the programme i want to learn how to animate using a range of different medias. new techniques on how to animate, how to give your characters a personality and a life of their own, i would like to learn how to work with others on creating an animation together and i want to learn how to work under pressure on an animation for a certain time period.
What skills do you think are your strengths?
- skills that i think are my strengths are mainly my drawing skills, character development, creating a narrative for a character, I have a strong theme throughout my work and finally i have a organised approach when i comes to design as i always research first.
What things that you would like to improve?
- The things i would like to improve on would be being more creative when it comes to creating characters, being more open to different styles of animation instead of researching animations with a similar style, i would also like to improve on my drawing as i would like to find my own style of drawing while on the course, being more organised with my time, and researching more artist than i usually would.
What ways will you evaluate your progress?
- I will be evaluating my work by using my sketchbook to improve my ideas and seeing which ones work best, i will also be getting feedback from peers that will help me improve on my work, blogging about my work on the modules chosen i will then evaluate my progress, taking notes from tutors will help me with the process of evaluating my work as i will then be able to look back on what i have improved upon, and finally i will do short reflection essays on my work that will help me evaluate my progression throughout the course.
