This presentation is to summarise the year and what we plan on doing over the summer before our 3rd year at university.
These are my main interest with in animation and what I would like to pursue in the future, When looking back over the briefs that we have done in the past these are the ones that I have mostly enjoyed and work that I am most proud of. I would like to continue to develop my skills with in these subjects
I chose to email Bo Mathorne, as his work is what mostly inspired me to become an animator, I had asked him a few questions about his animation 'The Blackwater Gospel' as that is my favourite, the animation has lots of religious and death imagery and Juxtaposing imagery. I tried to write questions about this animation to find out more information and questions about what inspired him and how starting his studio 'Studio Kiboko' has gone.
I had learnt a lot from the responsive brief, as I learnt how to work in a group and how important communication is when working together to complete work for a competition brief. I tried to pick briefs that I wouldnt usually work on which was design briefs like the YCN campaign for Thirsty planet and the Ooh Deer brief, I chose these briefs so that I couldn't learn and improve my skills on layout and typography. I chose the character design brief because I also thought that my skills with character designing could be improved. and finally for my final brief I chose to create an animation for the Loopdeloop competition.
After looking back over this year I have made notes on what I would like to improve and what I would like to learn over the summer, which would be Networking, Competitions, Lip syncing and maya. I will also be attending the Annecy animation festival this summer.
